National heroes - cultural and international identity to get active citizenship.

 

Pole tekstowe: a visit to Portugal ... Another meeting of school kids and teachers from Greece, Poland, Turkey and Portugal took place between 4th-8th May, 2009. This time we visited the Portuguese school ESCOLA SECUNDARIA DR.JULIO MARTINS. Our school was represented by Mrs Anna Dworniak-Kijewska and Mrs Magdalena Mielczarek and schoolgirls : Marta Ogińska, Ola Błaszczyk and Julia Jańczyk. The aim of the meeting was was to present places connected with our national hero-Maria Skloodowska-Curie. During our stay we extended the knowledge of the culture and the life of our peers. The hosts told us the history of a beautiful little town- Chaves. We had a chance to taste traditional dishes and listen to Portuguese music during the “Fado night”. We all were satisfied with the incredible adventure and we hope to visit the city again
